From 2023-2025, the DEA turned a blind eye to 1.8 million fentanyl pills entering the streets of New Mexico. They explained this policy by saying it allowed them to “catch bigger fish” and make bigger busts down the line. During that time thousands of people died from opioid OD, likely over 900 in 2025 alone, and tens of thousands of people suffered from opioid addiction.

The DEA, and the government as a whole, are directly responsible for this. Our local politicians like the Governor and Mayor rest content pretending they are outraged, but don’t actually do anything.

Bring items to memorialize loved ones who have been affected by fentanyl or other drugs and get on the mic to share a story to force the system to see the faces of the lives they’ve stolen, and ensure they are not forgotten. The ruling class wants to keep us down n’ out and on drugs. Fuck that! DEFY THE DEA!
